Extrapharma’s Participation in the Workshop for the Local Medical Suppliers Development Project

Extrapharma for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies had the honor of participating in the opening workshop organized by Relief International, in coordination with Quamed and with the support of the European Union, as part of the Local Medical Suppliers Development Project in Yemen.

The workshop took place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Coral Hotel – Aden, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The organizing entities presented the project’s objectives aimed at strengthening the capacities of local medical suppliers and promoting efficient and sustainable procurement of high-quality medical products, in line with international humanitarian standards.

Extrapharma’s participation in this workshop reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to enhancing its institutional and technical capacities, supporting the humanitarian health sector in Yemen, and ensuring the availability of medical supplies that meet internationally recognized quality standards.

The workshop program included a presentation of the preliminary findings of the local medical supplies market analysis, as well as interactive discussions with suppliers addressing challenges, improving performance, and meeting technical and logistical requirements in the humanitarian operating context.
